Do you have a passion for early years education? Are you looking for flexible, part-time or full-time work?
Smart Cookie Club is expanding in Toronto and is looking for instructors to run our Preschool and Before & After School Programs at Artscape Youngplace. The hours include 8am-12pm & 3pm-6pm, totaling 7 hours per day.
We are looking for candidates who are positive, creative and excited to work with young children. Our ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, radiate positive energy and have the ability to balance quality and professionalism with authenticity and fun!
Instructors will be responsible for delivering age appropriate, quality programs that support the healthy growth and development of children in a safe and supervised environment while educating parents in early years development.
The Successful Candidate Will:
-Be able to extend and modify various open-ended activities to suit the developmental needs of the children
-Take care and precision setting up activities and making the classroom look inviting and appealing to young children
-Plan and execute developmentally appropriate activities
-Communicate with parents/caregivers, founders and children
-Complete administrative tasks as required (such as taking attendance, communicating messages to founders, etc)
-Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability and openness to new ideas in education practices
-Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to create partnerships with families
-Proven strength in verbal communication and organizational skills
-RECE or teaching degree an asset but not a necessity
-Experience working with children aged 0-12
-Clear Criminal Background and Vulnerable Sector Screening
-Standard First Aid & Infant CPR
